The Knights of Columbus is committed to the Culture of Life. We firmly defend the right to life of every human being, from the moment of conception to natural death. Our commitment to Life reaches beyond standing against abortion. When a mother chooses life that is a huge victory, but it is only the first step. We reach out to and support organizations that provide aid to new mothers.
We also support organizations that provide aid to parents who adopt orphans and other children who need parents. Parents have the lead role in the spiritual growth and nurturing of a child. Kids in Christian and Catholic homes receive spiritual guidance. But due to the ratio between caregivers vs. children in these homes, they simply cannot give the level of attention that a child needs from a parent. For most of us busy with our daily lives, orphans are not on our mind much. Our fundraising efforts aim to not only provide financial aid, but also to raise awareness to the plight of children waiting to be adopted so that we can keep them in our prayers.
On behalf of the staff at the PRC, I wanted to thank you and the Knights for the huge donation of diapers and other essential baby items. Scott Lillie of Catholic Charities of West Michigan delivered a van full of goodies to the PRC’s Wyoming Family Support Services office today!
We continue to be amazed at the generosity of the Knights. Each time we use our $32,000 ultrasound machine to save a life, we praise God for our faithful brothers! Here’s a recent story that will say thank you most effectively. Her friends say Amanda had an “Extreme Mom Makeover.” One of them even created a special button for her diaper bag that reads: From Anti-Mom to Super-Mom! Last year, Amanda was determined to abort. She was career minded and she says she didn’t especially like kids. After her PRC ultrasound, Amanda started to waver. Today, she can’t imagine life without Haylee. Amanda says, “Because of you and the team at the PRC, my sweet little girl is here. You helped me through my pregnancy and you’re here for me now through the PRC's Family Support Services. Keep up the amazing work! You truly saved my baby – it’s hard to even write this without tears because it’s so true. THANK YOU so much! Haylee is here because of the Knights! And she continues to receive assistance through our Family Support Services – and that includes practical items like diapers and baby clothing.
Thank you, You are making a difference in our community!. Blessings!
